Welcome!

Welcome to ⁨the Krasnogorsk-3 Forum

Thanks for joining us! This is a discussion forum meant to foster interactions about the Zenit Krasnogorsk-3 16mm motion picture camera; For fans, owners, operators, modders, and anyone else to come share their own experiences, test footage, finished films, or to help out others in the community who have questions about their own camera.

Why Not Use Cinematography.com For This?

A few reasons: It has become essentially impossible to join that forum; all sign-ups are subject to manual approval, and they seemingly have quit doing any approving. Additionally, a very vocal minority of users there tend to go out of their way to make K3 operators feel unwelcome. Furthermore, it's totally covered in banners ads.

Okay, So Then Why Not Use Facebook For This?

Facebook has turned in to an absolute hellscape. Every move you make there becomes input used to further refine the advertising profile that their forming about you. I believe we should all be on Facebook less in our lives, not more. It's a conglomerate ran by a freakish billionaire, whose entire business plan has apparently become tricking elderly people in to falling for AI fakes. I believe discussion forums should just be their own thing, that you make a specific decision to go visit.

So There's No Ads Here?

No. And the aim is to keep it that way. Some of the links included in the posts here may be edited to include affiliate tags, so that we can quietly earn a little commission if someone chose to purchase something after clicking the link. But just to help offset the cost of operating this forum's server.
